Cairo, Lovingly know as Fastpants, Orange Tabby, 03 to 07.

He stole our hearts the moment we saw him, woefully thin and covered in tar...we were at the right place at just the right time, lucky enough to find this beautiful young cat down on his luck, in need of a home we gladly offered. All the love we gave, he gave back tenfold...we only wish we had more time to enjoy him; his sweet nature, his purrs, his stunning golden gaze. He will always be loved, and dearly, dearly missed.

Chance, Lovingly known as "Big Dog", Large mixed breed dog, January 1993 to January 2003

You were our first dog, just a puppy when we got married and built our house. Remember how you hated the sound of the chainsaw cutting trees and hid in the bed of my father's truck? You were so adorable with your long, floppy ears and your fluffy black tail tipped in a white curly-q. You were the best friend and comp! anion we could ever ask for. You were there for me when my mother passed and never failed to offer a paw or lean against us in support and love. You let me cry on your shoulder for hours. I'll never forget your brave battle at the end. It happened so fast we didn't have a choice but to let you go or watch you painfully wither away. The hardest thing we ever did was watch you go in our arms. We miss you terribly, Big Dog, and we will always love you. One day you will rest with Daddy.

CheeseKake, Lovingly known as Cheesie, Long Haired Domestic, 1989 to 2003.

Although you were born in a closet - you were never shy! A true attention hog, you only offered us your love and affection and of course... your belly to rub. When you became a diabetic - everyone said I was crazy to give you 2 insulin shots a day - spend my hard earned $ on "a cat", but you were not a cat - your were our friend. Would we put our family members & friends to sleep because they had diabetes? Of course not! You deserved all the hard work - and you didn't complain once every time you had an injection - you knew you needed and would lovingly come to us - never once did we have to look for you. You had diabetes for 6 years and that's a long time for a beautiful cat such as yourself. Thank you for all the love, hugs and attention you showered on us. Cheesie Louisey - you were one in a million! Love Mom & Katrina xoxo p.s. please watch out over Tommy - he is with you now.

Until then, we keep your candle lit and will always remember the love and joy you bring me and BB. We love and miss you dearly. Bye Little Buddy.

Coco, 199? to February 7, 2004

For over two and a half years she battled a savage war against cancer. Her strength and nobility combined will never be forgotten. She was my rock, my companion, my best friend, my sounding board, the closest thing to family that I know. I have cherished every moment I have had with her,

I will miss her wide, strong chest that my arms have embraced countless times. I will miss her more then I can bare. Her pride and bravery were immense, up until her last breath.

The last 5 months of her life were far from easy, her stomach destroyed, her bowels un-controlled, yet her spirits always up, and when those old hips would let her, she would bound towards the kitchen door like a two year old.

For a long, long time she was 24/7 care, and all who were involved in her care would do it again in a heartbeat.

I never knew her as a puppy or a young healthy dog, she came to us riddled with problems, a step away from being euthanized. Each malady was fought and cured, but then another would hit, she had been neglected for way too long.

She never complained and was the leader of our pack, her enormous generous heart was young, vibrant and full of everlasting love.

Everyone who has known her, has been deeply touched by her.

She is with me. . . . always will be. How could this exceptional being not continue?

She is the single most Magnificent Dog I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

Copper, Cocker Spaniel (buff), 2-19-90 to 1-4-2000

You were our first dog. I remember when we brought you home at 9weeks and you were just 3lbs. Danny was only 5y/o then. You were very well trained. You loved to run at the park. Another favorite of yours was stopping at McDonalds for a kiddie cone. You started having seizures at 2y/o and we controlled them with phenobarbital. The Vet thinks the prolonged use of phenobarb is what caused your liver to fail. You went so quickly. At Christmas you were fine and shortly after New Years we had to let you go. It was very hard because you were our 1st dog. Cheyenne, our rescued Golden retriever misses you too.

Count von Schiessen, lovingly known as Pooty Hound, Dachshund, 10/94 to 1/17/2000

Schiessen, it was love at first sight when Jackie saw you, hoping to ease the ache of the loss of our previous dachshund, Wienerdog. We drove for two hours late that Saturday night to the puppy farm to find you. We looked at many puppies that night, but Jackie never put you down from the time she first saw you, a tiny black and tan dachshund of 4 weeks. Since you were a boy, we also left with your future mate, Hildegarde. You were grew from a sweet puppy to the very essence of boy dachshund. Cocky, smart, inquisitive, loving, independent, and always anxious to please. You were a loyal friend and protector, father to 15 great pups, and faithful companion to Hildegarde. The vets may never know why you took sick and passed on, but they are trying to find out. We will always miss you. Only the Germans know what your name really means. Love, Dad.

Sadly missed by Jackie, Chris, Christopher, mate Hildegarde, and sons Chockywocky and Heinrich
