Napoleon was found as a stray and rescued by the Florida Akita Rescue society in 1995. He was adopted by a young man (Eric) and later came to live with Grandma (Rosie). Never before had Rosie had a dog to call her own. She had always had cats and was afraid to even try to care for such a large animal but gave it a! try. She and Napoleon became closer than she or her family, had ever imagined possible. She took him on daily walks looking forward to the o-o-oh's and a-a-ah's of the onlookers as she passed by with the beautiful 100+ lb dog. He loved to go to the bayou to watch and sometimes chase the ducks. He loved her homemade liver treats that she hated to make, but loved to see him enjoy. She was the master, but he was in charge. He was her most intimate friend and closest companion. He was her protector and fullest joy in life. Rest in peace Napoleon. You will never be forgotten and will always be loved.
